1. -- Your Access
- Mouse over the “Members Login” at
the top of any public page in the MedIntelliBase.com
website.
- Click on the dropdown item, "MedIntelliBase MarketTracks."
- You are greeted with the "MedIntelliBase Welcome" screen.
- Enter
your personal login for authorization.

2. -- Your Resources
- You
are taken to our secured "MedIntelliBase MarketTrack Subscriber" Homepage.
- Any of the MarketTrack titles and areas within those titles that you have subscribed to are highlighted in green. Those that you have not subscribed to are in gray.
- For example, as shown in green to the right, suppose you have subscribed to the *CV Therapeutics MarketTrack
- Within a specific MarketTrack or from the general navigational tabs above, you can search our:
- First Element - Analytical, 300+-page:
- SMArt Volumes™ e-Report, or
- Second Element - the three (3) MIB Databases:
- SMArt Chart® database of Competing Technologies
- SMArt Trials™ database - Pivotal Clinical Trials & Registries
- SMArt Companies™ database - Highly Competitive Companies
Suppose you choose to search our MIB Databases for a product first such as the "Simpson Atherocath"...

 Step
3. -- Your Navigation
- To locate the "Simpson Atherocath"...
- Click on either, the:
- SMArt Chart Database tab on the top of the page or
- SMArt Chart of Competing Technologies text link in the CV Therapeutics MarketTrack product box

Step 4. -- Your Quick Product Search
- To do a Quick Search on the product, "Simpson Atherocath," enter the name into the text box click the radio button for Product Name and click on the Search button below
- Note the product level box on the lower right indicates that you have authorization to access the CV Therapeutics MarketTrack only

Note 1:
- In the Quick Search mode you have the option to control the number of search results you receive per page. To do so, click on the down arrow on the Show me ‘x’ results and select 25, 50, 100 or All.
- You also have the option to perform an Advanced Search and can do so by clicking on the button Go to Advanced Search to go to that screen.

- Your Search Results will appear directly below the green Quick Search tools box.

6. -- Your Quick Product Search concluded
- Click on the "Simpson Coronary Atherocath" result
- You will go to that record describing all aspects
of that product including:
- product description
- manufacturing company
- general modality category
- specific modality category
- general product type category
- specific product type category
- commercial approval information
- development status - commercial events
- development status - clinical trials
- key comments
- e-links to related topics in the SMArt Volumes and other MIB Databases.
- Go to the "ABACUS Trial," for an example of our e-links - just click on the trial's text link under Development Status - Clinical Trials

Note 2:
- On the Advanced Search page
of the SMArt Chart Database of Competing Technologies you have much greater control over your searching parameters.
- You
can search by the Company Name, Product
Name, Commercial Approval Date, General Modality, Specific Modality, General Product Type, Specific Product Type or on Any Key Words by entering your specific
query in the text box.
- As with the Quick Search page you can also control the
number of results shown per page.
Note 3:
- All clinical trials mentioned within entries in the SMArt Chart Database are linked to their own records in the SMArt [Clinical] Trials Database.
- For example, clicking on the name "ABACAS Trial" (in purple text above) automatically takes you to that trial in the SMArt Trials Database.

1. -- Your Advanced Product Search
- Within the "ABACUS Trial" to begin another product search or locate detailed information
about a product or technology Click on the SMArt Chart Database tab at the top of the page to start that new search.

2. -- Your Advanced Product Search in progress
- To locate detailed information about a product or
technology, click on the Go to Advanced Search button for example on the "BX Velocity Coronary Stent" and enter "BX Velocity" in the Product Name window.

- Again your Search Results will appear directly below the green Quick Search tools box.
- Clicking on that result will take you
to the detailed entry on this product.

- The "BX Velocity" search record appears here.
- From this record you can go directly to another clinical trial through an advanced clinical trial search of the SMArt Trials Database.

Note 4:
- On the Advanced Search page of the SMArt Trials Database you have much greater control over your searching parameters.
- In addition to Trial Name and Product Name, you can search 3 full lists for Company Name, PI Name or PI Study Site. You can also search by trial Publication Date to find those trials that are still pending, were completed before or after a specific date or within a specific time period.
- As with the Quick Search page you can also control the number of results shown per page.

- Click on Go to Advanced Search button of the SMArt Trials Database shown here to conduct your next clinical trial search, this time on the "TAXUS Trials" series by Boston Scientific.

- Again your Search Results will appear directly below the green Quick Search tools box.
- Clicking on the entry for "TAXUS II Trial" will take you to that trial result.

- From this record you can go directly to a company search of the SMArt Companies Database.

Step 1. -- Your Company Search
- If you are interested in locating "Cordis (J&J)" - Click on “C” at the top of the SMArt Company List and scroll down to the name of that company in the “C” listings.

2. -- Your Company Search continued
- When you click on that company name ["Cordis (J&J)" ] it will appear giving you the option to search under SMArt Trials or SMArt Chart of Competing Companies to locate trials sponsored by Cordis or Cordis products.
- Choosing SMArt Chart of Competing Companies locates Cordis products.

- "Cordis (J&J)" will automatically be placed in the Company Name text box as shown to the right.
- Also, shown in the screen, 28 records for 28 Cordis products and technologies are found in the SMArt Chart.
- If you click on “BX Velocity” it will take you to that product record as noted on the next screen.
