The Biomarkers Consortium: BIO2008 - San Diego

The Biomarkers Consortium is sponsoring a two-part supersession at the 2008 BIO (Biotechnology International Organization) International Convention. Session I - June 19, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. the panel will address "Accelerating the Identification and Development of Biomarkers for Human Health Through Public-Private Partnerships." Peritoneal Lined Stent Lower Limb Pilot Study
Pilot Study for the Peritec Peritoneal Lined Stent and Delivery System.

PeriTec Biosciences, Cleveland, Ohio, has initiated a pilot study of its new stent featuring porcine peritoneum lined stent graft technology. The first application will target Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) applications specifically in lower limbs, the SFA (superficial femoral artery). This pilot safety and efficacy study is a non-randomized, single arm study recruiting 45 patients. Enrollment started November 2006. The trial is expected to be complete in November 2010.
